Day 1: Saturday, June 14, 2025
  • Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic.

  • Welcome to Frankfurt! Board your bus and transfer to Ettlingen.
  • Enjoy a guided walking tour of Ettlingen and finish with lunch at the local brewer, Vogel Housbrau.
  • Check in at your hotel and then have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Monday, June 16, 2025

  • Breakfast at the hotel and free time to explore Ettlingen.
  • Afternoon departure for a visit to 1-2 wineries in the Baden-Baden/Durbach region.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 17, 2025
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Follow the Black Forest High Road from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Black Forest valleys, the Rhine Valley, Alsace, and the Voges Mountains. Stop at Lake Mummelsee for a coffee break with cake and a Black Forest Cake demonstration.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a cooking class in Karlsruhe.
Day 5: Wednesday, June 18, 2025

  • Drive from Ettlingen to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Garmisch is a picturesque town nestled in the Bavarian Alps of Germany.
  • Lunch stop on your own in Ulm.
  • Check in at the hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
  • Enjoy a cooking demonstration this evening.

Day 6:  Thursday, June 19, 2025
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Take a trip to Zuspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany. Take the cogwheel train up the mountain for stunning views of the valley below.
  • Enjoy a Bavarian evening at a local restaurant. Delight in the local delicacies and experience traditional entertainment.
Day 7: Friday, June 20, 2025
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Depart with your private driver to Munich.
  • Check-in at your hotel in Munich.
  • Take an afternoon walking tour of Munich Old Town. See Marienplatz, Alter Peter, Dallmayr delicatessen, Hofbrauhaus, and more.
  • Enjoy dinner at a traditional beer hall.
Day 8: Saturday, June 21, 2025
  • Experience a Bavarian breakfast of white sausage and beer. After, enjoy your morning at leisure.
  • In the afternoon, join a Bavarian Delicacies Tour. You will try different Bavarian and Munich food delicacies and specialties in Munich's historic old town. Try your hand as a beer sommelier at a beer tasting. Taste traditional Munich baked goods. Visit the Viktualienmarkt and try the specialties of the local butchers. Last, but not least, walk to the Schmalznudel and watch how Schmalznudeln and more are made.

Day 9: Sunday, June 22, 2025​
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Enjoy a leisurely morning to do some shopping or explore more of Munich.
  • Afternoon cooking class and farewell meal.

  • Transfer to Munich airport for your nonstop flight back to Chicago.
