Ireland itinerary
Day 1: Saturday, September 13, 2025
- Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic.
Day 2: Sunday, September 14, 2025
- After landing at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your CIE Tours driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin. Stop to visit EPIC Ireland, which celebrates the dramatic story of the spread of Irish culture around the globe, and how Ireland has changed throughout the years. Motor a short distance to the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin. Check-in and settle into your room before joining your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Day 3: Monday September 15, 2025
- This morning, tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. Finish your visit in the roof-top bar, where you can sample a draft of Guinness. Head back to your nearby hotel and spend the balance of the day free to sightsee, shop, and dine on your own.
Day 4: Tuesday, September 16, 2025
- Leaving Dublin, travel into Enniskillen and stop at Blakes of the Hollow Pub, one of the most famous and well recognized Victorian pubs in Ireland. While here, enjoy a drink with your group. Then, continue your drive through the Irish countryside into Donegal, check into Harvey's Point Hotel, and settle into your room. Tonight, meet your group in the hotel restaurant for a delicious meal.
Day 5: Wednesday, September 17, 2025
- Today, set off on a panoramic tour of County Donegal, which is renowned for wool production. Stop to visit the Slieve League Sea Cliffs, where the highest point reaches 1,972 feet making them the highest in Europe. The cliffs drop straight down to the wild Atlantic waves below and you will see mavelous vistas. Return to your hotel in Donegal for an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Thursday, September 18, 2025
- Departing Donegal, head to Atlantic Sheepdogs, where you will have the opportunity to experience farm life and see some of the world's smartest sheepdogs, working in their natural environment. After, journey into Sligo and embark on a panoramic tour to see the principal sites of the town. View Sligo Abbey, which as built in the 13th century and the site where Sligo Castle once stood. Also, view the Lady Erin Monument dedicated to those who fought during the Insurrection of 1798 along with the Sligo Railway Station, which has a unique history of it's own. Continue your drive into Galway, check into the Park House Hotel, and settle into your room. This evening, have dinner in the hotel restaurant with your fellow travelers.
Day 7: Friday, September 19, 2025
- Today, stroll down Galway's Medieval streets and sample food by local artisans. Try Galway oysters, fine cheeses with bread, sweet treats and savory bites along the way. Head back to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure for independent sightseeing, shopping, dining, and more.
Day 8: Saturday, september 20, 2025
- This morning, drive along the coast of scenic County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Ireland's Western coastline. Next, travel to visit St. Tola Farm, on of the many stops on the Burren Food Trail and a producer of handmade goat cheese. St. Tola's award-winning cheeses are sure to please even the most discerning palate. While here, enjoy a cheese and wine tasting with your fellow travelers. After your visit, take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary before continuing your journey into Killarney. Upon arrival, check into the Killarney Towers Hotel and settle into your room before a festive evening with your group.
- Tonight, travel to Kate Kearney's Cottage, which is situated at the entrance of the Gap of Dunloe. Your Irish Night will consist of a superb meal and entertainment.
Day 9: Sunday, September 21, 2025
- After breakfast, set off to explore the Ring of Kerry, which consists of over 100 miles of marvelous scenery. See some of Ireland's highest peaks on one side of the road and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands on the other. There will also be plenty of stops to take-in the scenery and to snap photos. Continue on to visit the Skellig Six18 Distillery, where you can see beautiful views of the Skellig Coastline. While here, enjoy a guided tour of the distillery followed by a tasting of the finished product. Return to your hotel in Killarney, where you might like to relax or freshen up before tonight's festivities.
- This evening, head to the Celtic Whiskey Bar to enjoy a wonderful dinner with your group followed by a whiskey and chocolate pairing.
Day 10: Monday, Sepetmber 22, 2025
- Leaving Killarney, journey into Cork and set off on a panoramic tour to see the main areas of Ireland's second largest city. Cork is built on many hills with many steeply sloping streets. See Shandon Church, which dates to 1722. Also, view the Gothic-revival St. Finbarr's Cathedral, named for the patron saint of the city. Stop to visit the English Market, which first opened in 1788. The market allows consumers to explore and sample a variety of produce from all corners of the globe. Continue your drive into Kilkenny and stop to visit the Smithwick's Experience to uncover 300 years of Smithwick's history and enjoy a tasting of the finished product. After your visit, journey into Enfield and check into the beautiful Johnstown Estate. Spend the balance of the afternoon free to relax or enjoy the amenities the Estate offers. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner in Johnstown Estate's fine restaurant.
Day 11: Tuesday, September 23, 2025
- All too soon, your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check-in for your flight home.
